Ecosystem

If you are new to Zucoin, start by separating the parts. The asset, network, wallet, marketplace, and information services each have a different job.

A wallet, marketplace, information page, and cache separated by Zucoin tokens

Quick answer

Zucoin is the digital asset that moves between wallets. Splitchain is the caching network that stores each peer’s latest cryptographic transaction result. The Zucoin wallet is the self-managed app that a user controls. Zutopia is a separate peer-to-peer marketplace. MyZucoins provides independent guides, news, help information, developer references, and public tools.

Start with the three core parts

These three parts were designed to work together, but they are not the same product. Zucoin is the asset, Splitchain is the network, and the wallet is the app that a person operates.

Important transfer terms

These terms describe the public information and instructions used during a Zucoin transfer.

Services and resources around the core system

The core transfer system works without a marketplace or information site. These separate services help people trade, learn, inspect public information, and build integrations.

How one Zucoin transfer moves through the ecosystem

A normal transfer happens between two wallets, which coordinate and validate the transaction amongst themselves. They use Splitchain to upload and check the cached cryptographic result. A marketplace can help two people arrange a trade, but it is not required for a transfer between two known wallet addresses.

  • 1. The sender opens the Zucoin wallet and selects the receiving public wallet address, amount, and any supported reference or message.

  • 2. The sender checks the details and starts the transaction in their wallet.

  • 3. The receiving wallet shows the supported transaction details, which the receiver inspects and confirms.

  • 4. The wallets coordinate and validate the transaction, then upload the cryptographic result to Splitchain. Each wallet checks Splitchain’s cache for the completed transaction.

  • 5. The users review their wallet history. Supported public tools also provide separate result inspection. See the complete transaction flow.

What self-managed means

The Zucoin wallet does not use a platform account to hold the asset for the user. Important wallet data stays under the user’s control. This gives the user a direct recovery path, but it also gives the user important responsibilities.

  • Protect the device and use a current supported browser. Check supported devices.

  • Create a current wallet backup and understand how to restore it before the wallet has an important balance. Read the backup guide.

  • Never share a private key, wallet backup, password, or recovery information. A public wallet address is different from private wallet data. Review wallet safety.

  • Check the receiving address, amount, and supported transfer details before confirmation. Learn about wallet addresses.

A good first path for a new user

You do not need to learn every technical detail before you start. Use this sequence to learn the important parts in a safe order.

  • 1. Review the main terms on this page: Zucoin, Splitchain, wallet, public address, transfer code, and transaction.

  • 2. Check that your phone or computer has a supported browser. Check device support.

  • 3. Open the current Zucoin wallet, create the wallet on your device, and make a protected backup. Open the wallet.

  • 4. Start with a small test transfer between wallet addresses that you have verified. See everyday transfer guidance.

  • 5. Use wallet history or a public tool to inspect the completed result. Open the wallet address checker.
