How do transactions work?

Zucoin transactions are two-way, which means both the sender and receiver take part before a transfer is complete.

The sender starts the transfer, then the receiver accepts and confirms it in their own wallet.

This is different from many one-way payment or cryptocurrency systems where a sender can push a transaction to an address without the receiver doing anything first.

How a transfer moves through the wallet

  1. The sender enters the receiver's wallet address, amount, and any pricing or expiry options shown by the wallet.

  2. The wallet creates a transfer code for that transaction.

  3. The transfer code is sent to the receiver by notification or by the copy and paste method.

  4. The receiver checks and confirms the transfer in their wallet.

  5. After the receiver confirms, the wallets update to reflect the completed transaction.

How expiry fits in

Newer wallet versions can support configurable transfer expiry.

If an expiry time is set and the receiver does not accept the transfer in time, the sender should create a new transfer.

Expiry is a transfer setting, not a replacement for checking the receiver address and transaction details before sending.
