How do I recover from a stuck Zucoin transaction?

Note: This scenario is extremely rare in normal Zucoin usage.

To recover from a bad or conflicting transaction in the Zucoin app, you should first try to click the "refresh" button (two circular arrows in the top-right of the Zucoin wallet app).

If this still doesn't work, you should restore your wallet from a backup that contains your last valid transaction.

After restoring, the app will search the Splitchain network for any latest updates to your transaction history since the backup was made.

Your next transaction will then use this restored valid state as its starting point.

Once you make a new valid transaction, the network nodes will clear their caches of the previously conflicting transaction data, so long as your new transaction is valid and correctly references your previous valid state.

Once this process completes, you may see an "adjustment" in your recent transactions list.

This is normal due to the fact you don't have the intermediate transactions stored in your wallet, so the app needs to adjust the balance to reflect the new state.

The final value will still correctly reflect your true balance, as the network will have cached your last valid transaction.

Splitchain, by default, only stores your recent transactions, so making regular backups is a good habit to get into.
