Why does Splitchain show time in UTC, but my wallet shows a different time?

Splitchain shows time in "UTC" format (Universal Time Coordinated), so the transaction time is consistent for everyone, regardless of where they are in the world.

UTC gives the network a simple global timekeeping reference because Splitchain does not know which timezone you are in.

In the Zucoin wallet app, the same transaction is shown in your device's local timezone for everyday convenience. The wallet automatically converts the UTC time to your local timezone.

For example, a transaction shown in UTC by the Splitchain network explorer may appear in the Zucoin wallet as London time, New York time, Sydney time, or another local time, depending on where you are in the world.

Generally, if you convert the UTC time into your local timezone for the transaction date, the two timestamps will be the same.

When comparing records, use the transaction ID first because it is more reliable than comparing displayed times across different timezones.
