Zucoin wallet app v200 released: Transfer messages, easier contacts, clearer history

Zucoin wallet app v200 is now available, bringing optional transfer messages, clearer transaction details, easier contact saving, and another round of notification and usability improvements.

The big addition is transfer messages.

You can now add a short message to a transfer, such as an invoice number, order reference, membership payment, birthday gift, or a simple message for the receiver. It appears throughout the transfer and stays with the transaction in the wallet's history.

A wide range of wallet improvements are also in this release: more useful transaction records and CSV exports, multi-word search, stronger notification handling, clearer installation help for a wider range of devices and versions, improved transfer expiry controls, and a cleaner overall wallet layout.

What's new in Zucoin wallet app v200?

Here are the main changes in v200:

• Transfer messages: Add a message and let the receiver read it before accepting the transfer
  
  
• More useful transaction records: See the transfer message, local and UTC times, price per Zucoin, and clearer sent and received amounts
  
  
• Transfer messages in CSV exports: Use the new "Message" column to match exported transactions with invoices, orders, customers, or other references
  
  
• Save contacts without sending: Paste a wallet address, add a nickname, and save it for later without starting a transfer
  
  
• Better multi-word search: Search with separate details such as "Alex 250" or "INV 1042" to narrow down contacts and transactions
  
  
• More dependable notifications: Better recovery helps incoming transfer alerts open the correct wallet screen more reliably across supported phones and browsers
  
  
• Smoother manual sharing: If the receiver does not use notifications, share the transfer code and return to the transfer without automatically cancelling it
  
  
• Clearer installation help: Updated iPhone instructions and a simpler replacement path for wallets installed from an older location
  
  
• Refined expiry controls: Expiry settings are easier to review, while expiry supplied by a third-party transfer code is automatically prefilled
  
  
• Moving beyond beta: The "beta" label has been removed from the Zucoins logo after a sustained period of wallet stability
  
  

Add a transfer message to a Zucoin transfer

Transfer messages give each transaction a little more context.

When preparing a transfer, you can add a message. It appears on the final review screen, then the receiver can read it alongside the wallet address and amount before accepting.

For example, you could add "Invoice INV-1042", "Order 728", "August membership", "Birthday gift", or "Thanks for your help".

Like other transaction details, transfer messages are public and can be useful as proof that a particular invoice reference, payment message, order detail, agreement, or third-party confirmation was attached to the transaction.

Keep sensitive information out of transfer messages, including wallet backups, private keys, passwords, and recovery details.

If a transfer message is already set in a transfer code, it automatically prefills it.

Once the transaction is complete, the transfer message remains available in the wallet's history and is included in future CSV exports.

Clearer transaction history and CSV exports

Transaction history now keeps more useful information together in one place.

Open a transaction and you can see its transfer message, the price per Zucoin used for the conversion, and the time in both your local time and Coordinated Universal Time (UTC).

This is especially handy when people are in different time zones. For example, a user in Sydney and an overseas supplier in Texas can compare the same UTC time and transaction ID while still seeing their familiar local time.

Sent and received values are also easier to tell apart, with clearer colour treatment, labels, and spacing.

Exported CSV files now include the transfer message in a "Message" column too.

For example, an accountant can search the "Message" column for "INV-1042", find the matching invoice, and review the amount, wallet addresses, time, and transaction ID in the same row.

Save contacts now, send later

You can now save a wallet address without starting a transfer.

Save it by pasting the address into the normal "Send" flow, adding a nickname, and choosing: "Only save address".

This is useful when a supplier, customer, friend, family member, or community group gives you an address before anything is due. Save it as "Local supplier", "Alex work", or "Community club", then return to it when you're ready.

Search is more flexible too.

A search such as "Alex 250" can find transactions containing both the contact name and amount, while "INV 1042" can find a matching transfer message even when the words are separated.

More dependable notifications and manual sharing

Push notifications received another reliability pass in v200.

The wallet now does a better job of recovering when a device or web browser loses user notification information, and taps on incoming alerts have been refined across supported iPhone and Android devices.

For users, this means an incoming transfer alert is more likely to reopen the correct transfer, even when the wallet needs a moment to recover the notification details.

The manual transfer option has been improved as well.

If the receiver has notifications turned off, you can share the transfer code through "Messages", email, or another supported app. You can then return to check the amount or try again without the prepared transfer being automatically cancelled.

Moving beyond beta

This release marks a major symbolic milestone for the Zucoin wallet app: the word "beta" has been removed from the Zucoins logo.

Research and development continues across a wide range of features and ideas, but the wallet app has delivered sustained stability and is ready to move beyond its beta label.

A cleaner wallet with clearer setup and expiry controls

iPhone installation steps have been updated to match newer iOS 27 Safari layouts, including the current path for adding the wallet to the "Home Screen".

If your wallet was installed from an older location, the replacement message now gives you a clearer order to follow: make a current backup, open the installation page, install the wallet, then restore the backup when needed.

Apple also provides instructions for adding a website icon to your "Home Screen".

Expiry controls have been tidied up, with the on/off switch and custom time kept together. A short expiry can suit a face-to-face transfer, while a longer window can give someone time to respond to an invoice.

If an expiry time is already set in a third-party transfer code, the wallet automatically prefills it while receiving.

Adding to this update are numerous refreshed icons for visibility and consistency.

Several under-the-hood reliability improvements are included too, helping the wallet stay dependable in edge case scenarios.
