Smarter push notification recovery

Push notifications received one of the biggest reliability improvements in this release.

Since v197 introduced deeply integrated push notifications, the team has been closely monitoring real-world behavior across devices.

One issue that surfaced: notifications could sometimes end up switched off in the background without a clear notice—particularly on certain devices where the operating system aggressively manages background processes.

The wallet now detects this and tries to auto re-enable notifications when appropriate, without requiring you to dig through settings.

If notifications are fully turned off in your phone or browser settings (including blocked permissions), the app now asks you to re-accept when you open it.

Zutopia's login process has been converted to use this new third-party mini-app integration method, making it the first public showcase of what this architecture can do.

It was a very smooth and fast process, that didn't even require any system changes from the Zutopia marketplace.

Rather than third-party platforms needing to build entirely separate apps, they can now plug into the Zucoin Wallet experience directly—opening the door for richer integrations, smoother user flows, and a more connected ecosystem.

The Zucoin wallet app gets comparison pricing data from third-party vendors, currently the Zutopia marketplace, by default.

When that live pricing feed is temporarily unavailable, previous versions could fail and show users an error message.

There are now more resilient fallbacks for this, with clearer messaging while using the last known value for longer periods of time.

When pricing data is out of date, a "?" button now appears next to the last-price value, showing more info about the situation.

The wallet app automatically retries in the background to fetch the latest pricing data.

This makes pricing-related processes more stable and useful during service interruptions.

How do I turn on push notifications?
